Contemporary Art

Sensations, thoughts and moods constantly persists within the intellect even though they are hardly comprehensible. Contemporary art items are often cloudy and incomprehensible, nevertheless they sometimes seem to touch the aura in such a unique and incisive way.

Subconsciously the observer has the sensation of examining these aspects at a first glance even though not fully comprehending, thus constituting an elusive impression.

Despite the fact that contemporary art is fascinating, these gratifications are only superficial and static. Art cannot selfishly demonstrate only atmospheres and/or the artist current sentiment. Art must be sophisticated, it should guide people's feelings in their inner path and help them illuminate and comprehend alterations and opposite forces.

Even though art should be useful for who can be identified within it, it should also be clear and its message should be comprehensible.

I would like my work to vibrate within the sensible and the rationals; I would like my work to be of spiritual and mental support to all those who desire so, and would like my work to be clear and linear, as to envisage immediate and meaningful images.

In order to obtain all this, I had to utilise multiple languages: if images could caress our sensibility, then words would be linked to our thoughts.

What I create is nor random nor a pure impulse, but it is a dream that has matured from extensive inspirations. From these careful thoughts, my work is developed as to reflect all the values of our grand community and humanity.

When I sometimes observe art works, sometimes I live the impulse of wanting to observe all the artist's previous works, as an endeavour to examine their evolution; like a seismograph tracks the minimal variations of earth movements by oscillating onto a sheet of paper, like an art work testifies the essence lived by its creator.

Obviously it is not simple to track chronologically all the works of an artist; artworks are sometimes lost and /or forgotten in time, mainly due to ferocious art criticism. That is why, unlike other artists, my artworks have been assigned to a progressive number that is stamped on the parchment.

An individual is the first component before humanity. The individual grows only by confrontation. If the individual grows and evolves then all humanity grows and evolves.

For this reason I will be more than pleased and available to hear and read all thoughts that will help me grasp the essence of any desired and requested artwork, as to further enrich the piece.

If you wish to communicate with me you will have to go through your gallery. This is because I put all my trust in those artists whose sensibility and affinity may comprehend and advise all those gentle souls towards a better appreciation of the artwork.

I will not authorise nor will ever authorise copies or any form of total or partial reproduction of my artworks.

Materials

The world is full of artistic shapes, whose changeable expressions interact with our life.

Some of these arts are unique and unrepeatable, others, on the other hand, represent everyday's life that we might not valorise.

When a person decides to purchase an important artwork, usually, he/she searches for all that is rare and exclusive, because it is instinctive wanting to posses something that hardly anyone has, thus transforming the artwork in a prestigious icon.

The choice of an art work remains something very personal: who purchases an art work is usually forced by the fact that, interpreting it, he/she remains fascinated, finding in its form and its materials latent thoughts: as if the person purchasing the art work becomes the artist who has created it.

I do not give much importance to the analysis of a single icon within an art work due to the fact that the art work should be valorised altogether.

Writing, creating an atmosphere, preparing the mind of a persona to open up to the message that is trying to show is not a banality. Every element has been carefully weighted and all my art works consist of unique materials that have been wisely and carefully treated.

Nature often suggests the best methods in order to maintain and conserve all that we consider important and precious.

Amber, known as fossil resin, is probably the best example, after millenniums and centuries it still conserves its shapes of all that it wanted to in global around her.

For this reason that my art work are covered by a layer of resin. The absence of contact with any external agent prejudices all alterations, thus making the art work eternal.

Resin is non toxic and has been created following all the specific indications thus customising its components.

In order to prevent the resin to come into contact with substances unconsciously used to polish the surface, thus compromising the natural transparency, I have enclosed with two crystal slabs that are thick 5mm on a delicate copper support. All joined and closed by a material that is highly corrosive resistant and totally antiseptic like, steel inox 18/10, obviously externally polished and internally sanitized.

All is grouped with delicate anodized aluminium supports that unify the crystal layer to the resin of the art work.

I have been for long uncertain on which method to vehicular my soul, my thoughts...

The leather is an essential structure for all living beings, it contains all the energy and the passions that warms its limbs.

Therefore it is not just a case that my creations are preferably on leather.

Leather, wisely in demand, instead of being transformed in precious handbags or expensive products, becomes the absolute protagonist of a dreamer, whose dream is made eternal thanks to the resin.

I believe that it is fair to honour these generous beings, that with their body sustain the hard work, the necessity and sometimes the human hunger.

Reflecting on how to imprint my thoughts, I evaluated various possibilities, until with different experiments I created a particular soft and nontoxic material that contains the right molecular density that would not disintegrate once in contact with the resin.

On this compound I applied different colours which are exclusively used to treat silk, wisely mixed and enriched in such a way to augment the luminosity, even though they are wrapped in a delicate mantle of resin.

A substance on the centre of the artwork has been added as to make it shine throughout the night. The images that contribute to enrich the surface have been decided by carefully selected themes. All my art works are complete with authenticity certificate that is applied on numbered parchment in chronological order.

My intention

Dear friends, life is a sublime agony, a disarming unbalance of equilibrium.

Throughout our entire life we attempt to displace our most hidden fears, usually with fictions although the only result we obtain is the sharpening of vile actions.

I believe that there is light within every life, it is a pity that in order to reflect this light in today's world we need that warmth that is jealously kept deep inside every heart.

There are moments whereby we stop our daily mad rush hours, observing, staying in touch...

We do not search for anything in particular, but we tend to listen to the external world as if we were trying to listen to our inner world.

Without too may images we breath our mood that perceives the positivity and the negativity, simply grazing at our daily remembrances.

The many postponed decisions ...the many vetoes and obligations to follow ...the too many "I'd like to do"... the various "I could" ... followed by ...but ...maybe.

Ties, limits, obligations, more or less golden cages, these are the realities that we all share. It is easy to get lost within this path, whilst the joy of living slowly drowses. A sense of indisposition, an emptiness that obscures the light and makes us perceive a constant going by of the days, always without managing to taste even a small piece.

Sometimes you only need a little in order to rejoin and renovate your own path. Hopefully my works may slightly touch this intent.

Universality

Like the shadow of a pebble changes with the hours, the life of an individual will be found reflecting on various thematic from different perspectives.

I may only say that when man acknowledges his own respective responsibilities and duties towards himself with the remaining life expressions then, maybe, we would have a happier, equilibrated and most harmonic life.

Violence, pain for injustices, embezzlement, indifference, anger, are only some of the many paths that differ from the light and harmony.

Smile and start to construct a lasting future. Every obstacle can be overcome as long as we stand united.

Every soul is different. Every soul has its own sensibility. Every soul has it's own style, for this reason my artworks are at the same time unique and universal. For universal I do not necessarily intend the spontaneity that an individual may recognise my work thus drawing satisfaction, but at the fact that they lack of any form of identity. As you may discover from this website, I do not have a name, I do not have a surname, I do not belong to any country, I am not from any continent, therefore I do not have a race, nor age, nor any form of identity, apart from my icon: Harmony.

Everyone must identify itself through my works, giving the freedom to who desires to imagine these works as they prefer.

My own signature that characterises my art work: "my digital fingerprint" is a clear intent to put everyone on the same level, without discriminating.

My digital fingerprint produces duplicated results: if from one side it contributes to reinforce within the work the concept of universality, on the other side it impedes any form of falsification and imitation, thanks to the biological traces within my fingerprint and thus presence of my DNA it obstructs any attempt of forgery.
